Ski CenterNovember 19, 2010

Canmore, AB – Green Extreme Outdoors Ltd. (Buff Canada), the exclusive Canadian distributors of Buff, is entering its sixth season as a valued sponsor of Fast and Female. As part of the in-kind partnership, Buff Canada will be supplying two exclusive multifunctional headwear styles to be distributed at Fast and Female events in 2011. As a Fast and Female supporter since 2006, Buff Canada remains one of the longest standing sponsors of the organization and continues to supply both trendy and useful products.

Founded in 2005 by Olympian Chandra Crawford, Fast and Female is dedicated to empowering young female athletes through sports.

Buff, the original multifunctional headwear is manufactured to be completely seam-free to ensure complete comfort against the skin. The polyester microfiber fabric is wind resistant, fast drying and wicks away sweat, offering optimal temperature control in hot or colder weather.

“The partnership we have with Green Extreme is tremendous because the Buff products combines outstanding style and function – two elements that are key to all Fast and Female athletes,” said Chandra Crawford who is set to kick off the 2010-2011 Cross-Country World Cup racing season this weekend in Sweden. “Personally, I love Buffs and sometimes like to wear two at once with one around my neck and one as a headband. Not only are Buffs useful and functional but they are also super trendy. Each year, we collaborate with awesome designers at Buff to ensure that we develop the coolest look for the new year.”

The new 2011 Fast and Female Buffs will be available for participants at events and for sale on / (online e-boutique or by emailing store@fastandfemale.com to get on our waiting list) starting in January. While both Buffs will predominantly showcase the fun Fast and Female logo, one of the styles features colourful pinks and yellows with a modern flowery background and the other features a more subtle blend of blue, black, white and pink. In addition to selling its signature product line, Buff Canada has the capacity to design and imprint customized patterns on Buffs. This makes it a product of choice for teams and events looking for a distinctive look.

“Buff Canada is delighted to continue to support Fast and Female in 2011 as this amazing programme grows,” said Peter Collins of Buff Canada. “Fast and Female is a wonderful opportunity for young girls to be motivated through the power of sport and to have a fantastic role model in Chandra Crawford. As a parent of a teenage daughter who is a cross-country skier, I see first-hand the benefits she and so many girls get from Fast and Female. I hope that Buff Canada will continue to support Fast and Female as it continues to grow in the years ahead,” he added.
